Pré de Becasse

Forming the centrepiece of a new garden in Jersey, the aim of the new herbaceous border was to boldly drift planting in a naturalistic manner.

Beginning with whites and softer colours, the border develops into richer, darker purples and reds.  Continuity and structure is provided by the repetition of certain foliage plants such as artemesias, sage, miscanthus and santolina.  The soft greys, green and purples of these plants help to link the differing combinations of colour provided by the perennials.
