We have been working in Conjunction with HMS Architects on the Isle of Wight to provide a landscape scheme to unify adjacent properties on separate plots with different characters and numerous outbuildings.

The garden benefits from a waterside location and part of the brief was to enhance the wonderful sea views which are a prime feature of this property.

It was important to create sense of space around the main house and provide several usable areas within the garden. This meant clearing some existing features, outdated borders, and creating level lawns.

We enhanced the existing woodland garden, creating paths for easy access and enjoyment of the woods, adding a characterful bridge over a damp area, while at the same time, creating a place to sit and enjoy the wood and wildlife. We also plan to add a wildflower meadow with mown paths to lead you through to other areas of the garden.

The clients are passionate about wildlife and encouraging birds into the garden so a wildlife friendly feel was important. We have recently added a new pond complete with duck house.

We look forward to further developing the gardens, commencing the hard landscaping works in the spring, once the exterior work on the house has been completed.
