Charlotte is an experienced landscape designer who ran her own business for a number of years. Coming from a family of conservators and artists, Charlotte developed a natural appreciation of art, historic buildings and landscapes at an early age.
Charlotte’s background was in Art and Design and before retraining in Garden Design at Sparsholt College in Hampshire, she wanted to gain valuable horticultural experience, choosing to work as a gardener in Cornwall for 2 years at Trewidden Gardens. Later, while studying at Sparsholt, Charlotte continued to garden for several private clients.
After graduating from Sparsholt College with an FdSc in Garden Design in 2011, Charlotte launched her career at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show with her design for an urban wildlife garden, inspired by a love of wildlife and a passion for enhancing the environment. She later went on to design a second garden at Hampton Court, along with a trade stand/garden for the British Association of Landscape Industries at Chelsea Flower Show.
As well as running her own business, working on a wide variety of residential projects, Charlotte worked as a freelance garden designer for landscape contractors and designers in Hampshire and Surrey, gaining further experience of the Landscape Construction Industry.
Charlotte is now keen to develop her skills further and is enjoying being part of the disciplinary team at Taylor Tripp.
