FARMHOUSE | WEST SUSSEX
Our new design opened up a wonderful panoramic view by removing the old hedges, overgrown conifers and an old swimming pool. This expanded the visual scale of the gardens around the house and connected them to the distant landscape.
Borders of scented Roses and Lavenders lead away from the house towards the view of a new pond, designed to reflect the sky and sculpture.
Other new areas include a white garden, vegetable garden and herbaceous borders that lead down to a circular seating area, where the full glory of the view can be appreciated. This has now become a favourite spot to sit in the summer.
The garden was designed with sculpture in mind offering surprise interest and statement features. The gardens have been opened for a charity sculpture and art event in aid of Marie Curie, which was a huge success.
